There is plenty to see and do in this beautiful sunny region to suit all ages and all tastes. The campsite benefits from an excellent position at the Coeur de Poitou (meaning the heart of the Poitou), and you can explore the four departments of the Poitou Charentes from here, as well as the Limousin and Aquitaine regions of south western France.

So much to do within only an hours journey on the quiet roads of France where it is still a real pleasure to drive.
From the tourist resorts to the quiet rural country there are lots of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Within an hour’s drive we have Futuroscope, La Vallee des Singes, and the Marais Poitevin.

Wonderful beaches and resorts of the western coast are a bit further afield, while closer at hand there are several inland beaches like the Nautilus centre on the outskirts of Angouleme, which also has an ice rink.

Closer to us, the Rejalent complex outside Ruffec offers a pleasant day out by the river. You can also hire canoes and go for a gentle paddle down the Charente to the historic town of Vertuil.
